오래만나요! It’s Been a Long Time

Standard
So I forgot to tell you two weeks ago, that I wouldn’t be emailing the next week. But I told my parents so that’s all that really matters right?? haha So seeing as its been two weeks, I will try to keep this two weeks worth of happiness and missionary work to a normal size^^

Since last time we have found two new investigators. don’t get too excited, one of them texted us this morning to tell us she cant meet. Sad things happen ㅠㅠ The other sister is named HangEui Jo. Very unique. She has English interest and is VERY interested in bible stories. So we tell our message through stories, like in the Book of Mormon and about latter day saints. Its a working progress…

Some fun things we did this week: We ate at Robo Cook with a member. it felt like TGI Fridays… HEY GUESS WHAT! TGI Fridays is by my house!!!! BLAH! I will go and compare eventually…

We had a Family Night with our investigator Brother Hwang! We met his wife and I think that though she has absolutely no interest in religion, she was able to get a TINY bit closer to us and see our genuine hearts. We just want her family to be happy. On that night we taught about the Plan of Salvation (that we previously taught to Brother Hwang) and his daughter HaYeon drew the pictures for it. There was a special moment when we were questioning the wife about our life’s purpose. She kept trying to turn it over to her husband and told us to ask him. But we ignored her requests and were able to touch her a little deeper. I feel like we really spoke to her heart. I shared about the blessings of knowing my purpose and how the church and my family helped that. I cant remember EXACTLY what I said, but I KNOW that I felt the spirit and made a connection with her.

After that day we have had two meetings with just Brother Hwang and his daughter. We have strongly taught him the Restorations and things are going well. A baptism is sure to come soon, so please pray for him and that he can eaily accept our message and that through this gospel his family can be happier. After all that’s why he tried to find our church.

Some other unique things, I gave a talk in SunHwa ward. And there is a Korean class on Saturdays right after English class. There are a lot of foreigners in our ward that are trying to learn Korean. Plus the Office missionary couple. I love helping sister Bringhurst learn Korean. (it reminds me of why I want to be a teacher!)

SolNal AGAIN!!!!!! Flash backs anyone?? I don’t know about you, but I get them all the time ^^ and at the random-est times! One year in Korea and I am being reminded of all the WEIRD things I found when I first came to Korea,. Frozen is popular again with the cold and stuff (yet it stays around 6 degrees with a little wind) I’m still wearing a coat, but no gloves or hat and sometimes I wear my hair up in a bun!  WARM!!!!!!!

Our P-day last week was ON SolNal which was Thursday. So we chilled at the house because EVERYTHING is closed…

On Wednesday I gave a member an English name. Sister Oh called her family. I was a relaxed week, there are ups and downs…

I had a great time, and I hope you did. I love you all!!! Be safe!!
