Prophets, they are AMAZING!

안녕하세요! Hello everyone!! How was your week?? It was good wasn’t it? Oh, you want to know about my week?? Well It goes like this…

On Monday we did not end up going ice skating. It was too much money ($10!!) So instead we took a bus to SangDang area (Still in the city of CheongJu) And took sticker pictures!! (Which almost as expensive as the ice skating… *Sticker pictures are pictures taken in a fancy booth where they make your eyes bigger, skin flawless (kind of rubbery) and you are like a cartoon! And on top of that you get to DECORATE THEM! It was a fun activity and took up all the time we had for P-day. But on the bright side, my companion and I were able to add our picture to the wall of Sister Stickers on the fridge ^^

We also met with an investigator that day. She is learning English, but she thinks religion is a very good thing and is open to knowing more! YAY

On Wednesday we met a SUPER nice lady on the street. She attends a different church, but is SUPER dedicated. She did missionary work when she was younger, and ALL of her children right now are in a different country also doing missionary work! Neat huh? I sometimes wonder about the other churches and how their missionary work operates. That lady fed us 떡볶이(duck-bok-i) and told us to contact her whenever we want food again. Haha ALWAYS but that’s not our purpose, so maybe we’ll wait…

Friday was our English Class again! It was very successful this time! About 11 people came! So with the missionaries that was 21! We played Telephone and had a lot of good conversation. One of our investigators (that we meet on the side as well) said she wants to bring her mom 😛 haha cute.

As for Sister Yu DaSol, she was sick this week so we couldn’t meet her ㅠㅠ She woke up right before sacrament meeting as well. It will be okay though. Hopefully this week (seeing as she doesn’t have work like before) we can meet maybe three times? And also get her back on track. So Please pray for her to have strength and determination as it gets closer to her baptismal date ^^ THANK YOU

As I mentioned last week, we are preparing for a Mission Tour this week on Thursday ~ and studying the Book of Mormon in preparation for it. I am learning so much and ‘meeting’ new prophets and missionaries that I never knew existed! I am stoked and happy each morning for my one on one time with the Lord! I hope you are to! He wants to teach you something each day, I know it! So here is my study, maybe you can learn something!
I just finished the story of Samuel the Lamanite. He talks about how the people only want a prophet who speaks softly to them. And if there is a man who tells them about their sins and wickedness, they claim he is influenced by the devil! It reminds me of one of my favourite quote by Jeffrey R Holland that says “If people want any gods at all, they want them to be gods who do not demand much, comfortable gods, smooth gods who not only don’t rock the boat but don’t even row it!” Gods who pat you on the head and tell you go and pick flowers. “Talk about Man creating God in HIS own image!”

These days, as the world around us becomes more greedy, more openly violent and sexual, the more we need those who tell us what we are doing wrong, and how we can do better. Those people are the PROPHETS! They guide us and direct us in THESE DAYS! Not just from the Bible, but always and forever. Our Lord Jesus promised to us that He would never again take away His true gospel from the earth until His coming. This is the true gospel. It is led by the prophets and apostles JUST LIKE in the time of Jesus. And those men lead by HIS authority and His authority alone! I know Thomas S Monson is the current living prophet chosen by the Lord for this day and time. He lives now, and he directs us by the Holy Spirit of God.

I also know that the Book of Mormon is God’s word given to this generation. My testimony comes from this Book. The teachings therein are true and just. Read and you too can know.

This church is true! You are a child of God! I love you! He loves you. Have a great day and remember to pray!
